Does anyone know how to get the apache in VC? <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> I know where the military base is but there is no helicopter there. Do i have to complete a certain mission to obtain it?

U have to get 100% completion to unlock the hunter and a tank at the army base u also get hunter at the house with airpad next to it on the first island.

you DO NOT need to 100% the game to get the apache. all you need to do is have unlocked the police uniform in the police station to get into the base without being wanted. if the apache isnt there i can not explain that it has always been there on my game , i just wasnt always able to get it.

Yes u do have to get 100% dont u read the faqs for it and u need cop outfit but u do need 100% completion i all ways needed to get 100%.

well actually i have been getting the apache for quite some time now and i have the game at about 86%, so your wrong.

In fact, you are both partially correct, yet both partially incorrect.

To get the Apache from Fort Baxter base, you must have completed the final mission (the one where you kill Sonny Forelli). Before this point the Apache will not be there.

If you go in there wearing the cop outfit, the soldiers will not shoot you down.

Completing 100% has nothing to do with it, in fact, by the time the last mission is complete you will typically have around 45% depending on how much else you have done on the way,

I'm about 25% through the game, but I took the time to go get all the hidden packages. I have all 100. This gave me the Apache at the Army base (as well as $100,000.00).

But I haven't done all the missions yet. I haven't even killed Diaz yet, let alone onlocked the police uniform at the station.

So I'm still basically "wanted" and everytime I try to steal the Apache the soldiers just shoot me. After I get the police uniform, at least I'll be able to stroll into the base and fly off with the Apache.
