Hi,

anyone able to help shed some light on why i get the error message saying it has encountered an error with game.dat while trying to run battle of middle earth?

Have you messed with the data in that file in any way? Have you tried reinstalling the game? What are your system specs? Without any additional info i really couldn't say what's wrong.

the system spec - 1.8ghz intel 4 proc. 512mb memory, 128mb graphics card 30g hard drive. Windows XP.

The only problem with the pc is that the graphics card has duplicated itself. I just need to kill both, take it out and put it back again to sort that. But thats not the problem. I think its the DVD drive, cause i did get an error when i was installing it on a file.

Yeah that is it m8 dont listen to him he is helping no one properly i should know my dad qualified computer engineer so it prob DVD drive.

I'll put the unused one on my pc into the one that it wont work on and try it.
