Hi there <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I'm sure that I'm simply not doing something right here, but I can't seem to find any monsters anywhere. I've beaten yunalesca and have the airship. I want to travel around to capture monsters for the monster arena - but wherever I go, I cannot find any monsters. I thought that simply by running through the various areas would nab me heaps of fights and I'd find all the monsters. I can't seem to find any monsters anywhere.
Am I doing something wrong?

ummm....if you do not have any battles whatsoever, you need to check your armor to make sure that you don't have something on that prevents random battles. that's the only thing i can think of that would have an effect like that

Thankyou - in fact, it was that, as I figured out very late last night. I had heard of No Encounter armour before, but I'm using the French version of FFX, and the translation is not at all the same - his armour has "S�curit�" (Security) on it, and it didn't occur to me OR my husband that it could be the reason. But there you go. Hehe. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
