The yojimbo in my game starts at 300,000. so how do i get him at lowest price?

well all you have to do is offer him [half the price he offers] + 1

so offer 150,001
then he asks again and once more.
On the 3rd time he asks with a discount you pay that much otherwise "NO DEAL"

yea thats wot i paid too. I have to offer him at least 100.000 gil for him to do Zanmato tho. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

If you have a save file before you reach Yojimbo, I suggest you reload it. Pick his third option, which is something along the lines of "To defeat the strongest monsters". He'll perform Zanmato much more easily against higher resistant monsters, and for less money as well. I'm going to assume that you have the PAL or International version as you seem to think that a measly 100,000 Gil is a lot to dish out for Zanmato.
