OK i hate this bit i have read like a MILLION walkthroughs and i still can't beat him i have played him 3 times and keep dieing. I use shiva and can just about defeat Anima, but i die almost straight away wen seymour starts to use his multi-spells. He kills Lu Lu and Tidus in one hit and i hav haste on yuna who keeps curing them but then he kills them again. Eventually all three are dead!
Somewere it said make lulu poison seymore but lulu doesnt hav any poisoning options. Dark and Silent and sleep dont work either!
Help!!! I have no other saved games!!!!

Are you sure she doesn't have Bio, which poisons an enemy?

And, here's my advice:

In the beginning of the battle, have Yuna and Tidus talk to Seymour which will improve a stat. Then, have Tidus cast Haste on everybody. After that, have Yuna cast Reflect on everybody, which will make Seymour's multi spells bounce off and hit him instead. *If you don't have reflect, my advice would be to cast NulBlaze, NulTide, NulShock, and NulFrost on everybody.*
After that's done, have Rikku steal from the two Guado men so they can't heal Seymour. Then, just have everybody attack and perform their overdrives until Yuna can summon Shiva. Hopefully, Yuna already has a full overdrive, that way, Shiva can perform her overdrive on Anima. Then, you should have Shiva leave and only come back when Anima is about to perform it's overdrive, Oblivion. The characters at that stage of the game will probably not survive it.

That's basically it. Just keep trying, and you'll get it soon enough.

some nice pointers

IF you have stone breath with Kimahri, use it on the guado guards that'll kill them.

if you have a stat sphere (MP, HP, Magic, Strength, Defense etc...) and a Grenade mix them with Rikku it deals 9999 damage.

Indeed have Tidus talk this about doubles his strength depending on how high yours is anyways.

Use Shiva for Anima or use that mix on Anima that'll even stop him from ever commin to his overdrive.

Thanks for the Tips, i double checked LuLu's ablities and she has no bio (grrrr!). Also no reflect! i can do great except for the end with seymour by himself. But i will use the nultide and nulblaze ect. Who do u recommend is on my party in all three stages?
e.g -Seymour & 2 guards= Yuna? Rikku? Tidus?
-Anima= ???
-Seymour=???

Seymour & Guards = Kimahri (if you have Stonebreath) Yuna to heal, Tidus to talk and attack and possibly Auron.

Anima = Summon Shiva or use Rikku's mix

Seymour = Preferably Yuna Tidus and Rikku, mix like 2 thunder marbles (which you might've gotten on the thunder plains, which I hope <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> ) for Rolling thunder which almost finishes him off

I feel your pain. That battle sucks. I died twice before I beat it. I didn't have reflect then and I didn't have stone breath.
First thing you should do is level up... a lot. I spent several hours getting my characters up. Course you can't make Yuna any stronger, but it helps if Auron and Tidus have high HP and strength.
The first time you fight Seymour the first thing you need to do is the trigger command - have Yuna and Tidus talk to Seymour. After that swith Kimarhi for Rikku who can then steal the hi-potions off of the Guado guardians, that way they can't heal themselves. Switch Rikku for Auron and have him and Tidus kill them.
Seymour casts spells in a pattern, which I believe is blizzara, thundara, watera, and then fira. Just have Yuna cast the nul spells before he casts the particular spell. When Seymour is all alone he's really simple to defeat. He was defeated in three blows for me.
I hate fighting Anima. That's what killed me every time. Make sure you have pheonix downs with you. Have Tidus and Auron pummel Anima until it's halfway to overdrive. You'll need Yuna to revieve them A LOT. Then summon something, preferably Shiva. Casting blizzara does more damage than her special attack, so don't bother with it. If she dies, summon something else. The thing is you don't want Anima to cast her overdrive on your party, you want it to be cast on an aeon. If your aeons die before the overdrive, then you'd better have a powerful Auron in the immediate party. If Auron has over 4000 HP he will survive Oblivion. Just have him use a mega pheonix down which you hopefully have. Heal your party. If Shiva does enough damage, it should only take a few blows to defeat Anima.
The second time you fight Seymour just use the same strategy as before. Have Yuna cast nul spells and heal occasionally while Tidus and Auron attack Seymour.

As for the party...

Seymour 1st - Tidus(or Lulu), Yuna, Rikku to steal then switch with Auron
Anima - Yuna, Tidus(or Lulu), Auron
Seymour 2nd - Yuna, Auron, Tidus(or Lulu)

You can switch Tidus for Lulu but only if Lulu has very strong magic and Tidus is low in strength.
Hopefully that helps you... I only defeated Seymour and Anima two days ago, so it should work. Good luck!

One other thing, if you need your aeons to stick it out a bit longer and if they dont have cure... use they're own element on them:

EX:
Shiva's an ice element... woah... she absorbs ice... try casting blizzara on her... it heals like cure... if not better.

However, Valefor doesnt have any specific element, so be careful bout that

ok i tried again *breaks down and sobs* fourth time i died. My tidus's stats is rubbish he has like 800 hp (HAHAHA) i suck so much *sits in a dustbin* So like i die straight away while using him! So my current party is:
Seymour 1: Rikku, Yuna, lulu
Anima: Auron, Yuna, lulu (shiva and Ifrit)
Seymour 2: Auron, Yuna, Lulu

In the final battle i got yuna to cast nulblaze on everyone and then seymour used multi-blizzara and then that killed lulu and then i like use life and cure on her and then he uses Thundra and kills yuna and lulu and then auron uses phoneix down on yuna and then seymour kills yuna and then kills auron. O THE HUMILITY!!!

Maybe should jus quit!!!
