Well, I think I found around a great trick for winning the darn chocobo race and get the Sun Sigil for Caladbolg:

Hold down L1+L2+R1+R2 and the control you have over your chocobo will be improved.

Call me cheater, I don't care. I want to fully power up THAT Celestial Weapon. <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> I'll try it today. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

hehe, this is the 3th time i play FFX and i've always manage to win that darn race in like 30 minutes <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Just practice practice practice you know.. just keep trying..

It isn't that hard really, just keep trying and try not to kick your ps2 like i did a couple off times <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Yes first time I tried it I beat the [censored] out of the trainer. I did got a bit annoying when u gain a time of 01.30 seconds.
Yust try a couple more times and ul manage.

I've only done it once, and that game was accidentally deleted... Now I can't do it anymore. I have no choice but to kick the PS2 lol and curse lol.

I'll try that tip, though. Hopefully it will help.

Damn... I'd rather jump 500 lightning than to do that stupid race again.

Just let me understand one thing: in my previous game I made a customized weapon for Tidus with BDL. Still with 255 stats he couldn't do 99.999 damage to strong fiends (only around 35000). Does Caladbolg hit stronger?

Well it is rumoured that all the celestial weapons have an inate armour peircing ability on them to make them do more damage

Also, some of the stronger fiends have a natural high defense or resistance to physical attacks. For example, you can be as strong as possible and get demolished by jumbo flan. It just depends on the fiend you are facing.

Yes, but with full stats for all characters and Tidus with a customized weapon with BDL, fighting the same strong fiend Tidus used to do even less then half of damage the others were doing. I think I made a new weapon for Tidus with piercing and BDL abilities and the situation didn't change too much (but I am not very sure, I should check).

Like I am not sure about the innate piercing abilities, since the damage of the CW may vary according to the HP of the character.

Well, I decided to play that stupid Chocobo race every day I play the new game for 10-15 minutes anyhow. The problem it is I get easily frustrated. <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> :angel:

The innate piercing abilities are fact but it is also fact that Tidus will only do full damage if he is at full/near full HP (ie not yellow).

Here's a list:

Tidus: full damage at full HP
Wakka: full damage at full HP
Kimahri: full damage at full HP
Rikku: full damage at full HP
Lulu: full damage at full MP
Yuna: full damage at full MP
Auron: full damage at low HP
