the disks that PS1 Final Fantasy games were made on are notouriously bad quality. u mite get sum good ones (i've had a few copies of 8 and sum were good, others bad) but sum mite screw up at the slightest scratch. just down to luck!
clean disks by rubbing lightly with a duster from the inside to the outslde edge if u didn't know.

Well if they are really bad and there is no hope of them loading, one of the things that has worked for me in the past is using a soft cloth and some furniture polish (prob not good for the disk, but sometimes work)

But i would use this as a last resort, if there is no hope in hell of your disk working

What I do is take a cotton ball an dip it in rubbing alcohol. Wipe from the center of the disc to the outside part. DO NOT WIPE IN A CIRCLE AS THIS WILL SCRATCH IT MORE. Then I go back and do the same thing to the console. Just let them both air dry. Always works for me, and I've never had any problems out of it. BTW...7 is good, but 10 is the best <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
