In your opinion, which game is better? Although I didn't really care for FFX-2, I beat it just for love of Final Fantasy. FFX blew X-2 out the water. The battles were better, the storyline was better, and while the girls are still fine, there was very little jumping around and giggling and girlish stuff. I missed the choice of charaters and the whole setup. Also, they messed up by changing blitzball. I am a player, not a coach. Any comments from anybody?

I hate the way they changed blitzball. I've played X two or three times, but I have only played X-2 once. I also think there were way too many long, pointless sidequests in X-2. I loved playing blitzball in X, but w/ the nex format, it's like ... blah

first of all, i gotta say, ffx is almost flawless.... everything is just so great you barely can find any part to complaint about..... storyline is great, the ending can get in tear, the battle system is totally cool and i love the spere grid. as much as i hate soccer, i get addicted to bliztball. anyway... ffx-2 is kinda like a total disappointment..... i don't get what's the point for playing sphere break. it sucks... i don't find how you can compete with other since all you're doing is to add the numbers together in 60 seconds, even a 1st grader can do that. i didn't have to practice at all and i still can defeat shinra easily on my first try in the contest. the chocobo ranch is totally stupid and my least fav side quest is the pubicity and the match making thing.. it's so stupid and annoying. i stop playing that one after the 2nd chapter. the girls are just so annoying they makes me sick, especially yuna... she is so stupid and immature.... it makes me wonder if tidus still loves her.. after coming to life, he would probably like, well, i love the smart and mature yuna in ffx, not the dumb annoying one in ffx-2.. lol.... well, there are just too many disappointment to say about ffx-2 that if i was to list all of them, it's gonna be the whole game.....the only reason i play it is to see how tidus come back to life and to find out the story about leine but they barely talk about leine story.....they don't even explain how shuiyn can take control of venagun cos they say venagun acts on its own... then how could shuiyn able to control it? they add paine as the new char but they barely talk about her past.. what you know about her is just too little. by the way, did i mention that i hate the annoying dress speres? they drive me nuts

Well, I am not that drastic like you, but I share your point of view. I must say, as I wrote in another post, that there was one good thing: Rikku's acting. She improved a lot since FFX. Yuna? What a shame for a former summoner that saved the world. I agree. But I am pretty sure Square enix did that on purpouse (but what for, don't ask me).

Between FF X and FF X-2 my vote goes to X

Graphics are bout the same.

Story in X is better IMO.

Cutscenes in X are better in X-2 there's loads of waiting times as if they didn't have money to look at it again.

Battle system I'd say X-2 since X is too easy.

Characters X defenitly way better than in X-2.

Level up system fun in both of em.


But still neither one of these can beat FF 7 and 8, those are the altime best FF's so far that is <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

yeah, 7 was great, and would you believe that I haven't played 8 but for about 30 minutes. but it was fun for what I played on it. I like chubbychocobo. I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt that way about X-2. The best thing about X-2 is the Bevelle part in ch.5. I like having to fight the harder people of the game. Thanx for the feedback.
