remember that time when I posted all that stuff because that person was having trouble with the dark aeons? This tells you the quick ways of macing out your stats.
well here it is again If you want to beat the Dark Aeons then follow this:
1) Capture at least 5 of every monster in every area using the capture weapons. But capture 10 of each three Iron Giant kind otherwise no HP for you.
2) Go to the battle arena and collect the items from the monsters you unlock.
3) Play blitz ball...lots of it until you win 5 leagues and get the Jupiter Sigil.
4) Make Wakka's Celestial weapon (better yet, make everones since they do 99,999 damage easier than regular limit break weapons).
NOTE Wakka has the most powerful attack in the game and it can only be obtained in Blitzball, at some point he will be needed in all the 'hard' fights.
5) give two weapons one MP cost and have each character learn Entrust (you can get Lulu's and Yuna's celestial weapons)
6) Now buy 99 clear spheres from the guy at the battle arena. If you dont want to go overboard with the purple spheres then have everyone teleport to the same spot. Clear any +3 +2 and +1 spheres on the sphere grid as you come across them and replace it with one of your purple +4 spheres that you will get from the fights below.
ok now you have to level up Once you have unlocked every monster in the battle arena except for Nemisis you will be able to fight for purple spheres.
Get them in generally this order (though you can mix it up to take out the same fights and bordom).
Strength: Fight Juggernaut for Strength+4 spheres -Armour break him with a frag granades or better yet Auron's Banishing Blade -Hack away with Wakka's Attack reels -Cast Nulblaze everytime it uses Charging -Once you are strong enough you can quick hit Juggernaut to death
Magic Defence: VERY IMPORTANT. Fight One-Eye to get mag def +4 Spheres. -It only takes one 99,9999 hit (if you can't do that then keep fighting Juggernaut because you cannot win this fight without status protection)
-Just keep fighting until you have everyone's triple AP weapon with TWO empty slots (VERY IMPORTANT)
Agility: Fight Fenrir to Agility+4 spheres -Charge up Wakka's overdrive (more about that below) -Start the fight with three people who have First Strike (that DOESN"T include wakka, he must not start in the fight.) -Switch out for Wakka and use Attack Reels, -If no victory then BlitzAce it, and if its still not dead then reset and get more strength spheres
Defence: Fight Tanket to get Defence+4 spheres Armour break him the same way you did with Juggernaught -Hack away with Quick Hits and Attack Reels. -Just NEVER leave one character standing otherwise it will use Rush Attack which is like Quick Hit but does Delay Attack as well)
Accuracy: Fight Hornet for accuracy+4 spheres Just hack away with Attack Reels and dont forget to use Aim if you decide to attack with Quick Hit instead, since your accuracy would generally suck
Evasion: Fight Pteryx for evasion+4 spheres -It only takes two hits, but it DOES have 60 evasion but that can be easily over come with accuracy spheres
Magic: Fight Jumbo Flan for magic+4 spheres Very annoying long fight. FIRST YOU MUST PREPARE ANIMA Give Anima Haste, Dispel, Lancet, and Regen. -First caste haste, then regen. that way you are invincible since jumbo flan does little damage (assuming you have powered up Yuna's magic defence). -Hack away with Pain since Jumbo Flan is immune to physical attacks. -After about 15-17 hits its dead. -If it casts Regen on itself DISPEL it. DO NOT USE DISPEL ON YOURSELF, dispel is non reflectable magic) -Alternatively you can use Zanmato and get one Magic Sphere. It might actually be faster than using Anima
MP: Fight Vidatu (one hit KO assuming you have enough strength)
HP: Fight Iron Clad. -Armour Break it with Auron's Banishing Blade -Use Wakka's Attack Reels twice (enrust someone elses overdrive to him for the second)
you dont need luck really, but if you do just fight Greater Sphere and Earth Eater.
Luck: Fight Greater Sphere. -Attack with Attack Reels once
Fortune Spheres: (these are used to power up the luck spheres) Fight Earth Eater -Ok this guy is annoying. When you hit it it will counter with Megaton Punch. This is instant KO -After two hits you will have knocked it down onto its back. -You can't use Wakka's Attack Reels here because it will only do 12 hits of 30,000 damage. So you have to use Quick Hit. And everytime you do it counters with Flare
If in need of red spheres (the ones that activate the stuff on the board) then just Power/Speed/Ability/Mana distil Fafnir or Kottos to get 40 (assuming you over kill it and didn't get Dark Matter as a prize)
If in need of sphere levels then Customise the triple ap weapons you got from One Eye with OverDrive -> AP and Triple Oversdrive.
Set the characters OverDrives to Comrade and fight Don Tonberry. Five 99,999 hits and its dead (160 strength with Wakkas Celestial weapon will do it) and all of a sudden the poeple who had the special overdrive->AP weapons gain 50 sphere levels.
To beat the monsters quickly charge up Wakkas OverDrive and Aurons Overdrive by fighting someone easy like Chimerigeist (the first boss you fight in the monster arena) and have your celestial weapons equipped and OverDrive mode set to Victor.
Fight Chimerigeist once and overdrive gauges will fill up 60%. Fight again and it will be full. That is if you have the celestial weapons. Then fight a stronger boss and after it will be 60% full. Then fight Chimeregeist again and it will be full.
Once you have the stats you can go overkill the dark Aeons.
Oh one thing though, you need armour. Armour should be:
Ribbon (99 dark matter or beat the dark aeons, but only one person really needs it until you fight dark Bahamut, Yojimbo, Anima, and Magus Sisters)
Auto-Haste (80 Chocobo wings, just challenge the Machea inside Omegas place from the battle arena and bribe it for 360,000 gil (I worked it out by myself <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> , it drops between 40-80 chocobo wings)
AutoProtect (80 Light Curtains, just defeat Fafnir twice to get 80 (assuming you overkill it)
Break HP Limit (30 Wings to Dicovery (I think), just beat up Shinryu in the battle arena for 2 after each battle (Assuming you overkill it) but using attack reels, entrust to wakka, then attack reels again)
You can use Zanmato if you want but its more fun overkilling
any questions?

The correct answer is:
You fight no monster for HP Spheres. If anything it's just a fat waste of time, and it makes it even harder. Save yourself the time and enormous amounts of Gil by just adding the necessary +4 stat spheres for each stat needed to reach maximum (9,999 HP, 135 Luck, 999 MP). You won't have to clear any spheres, and you won't be trying your patience while you're fighting the long fights with Ironclad. Or wasting the 15,000 Gil per battle with Shinyru for the Wings to Discovery.

And for Magic Defense, it'll take a least two, unless you waste an Attack Reels on him. Or an Oblivion, Delta Attack, or Zanmato. One-Eye has 150,000 HP.

A few people have begun to agree with you, darktemplar, but I guess we can't get through to everyone.

And what's this??? You're taking on the Dark Aeons and don't need luck??? Have fun with Mindy. Or, in the overall view of things, Penance.

Hurray! And I haven't even been here for a large amount of time. I'm going to say Gerbill, perhaps Aim, but I can't think of many others. I know that it doesn't really matter for you and me, as we have the NA versions of the game.

DT always the same ol' same ol'. he's right on the bhpl thing tho, using it juz costs a whole load of time to get it for all characters, and then to get it high enough so it is well, so it gets close to being better without bhpl then you need to re arrange the whooooooole grid, which'll take you a lot of time training and getting new spheres... n then you finally got sumting like 70.000 HP and it does a one hit kill for 99.999 and you can't heal more than 9999 or 13.000 with curaga... then u basicly haven't got any use for the other 60.000....

Haven't heard from little ol templar for ages. Yeah I guess you don't really need the hp spheres but if you want to get them then you can just defeat the Iron Giant boss in the battle arena (I have forgotten its name).
