I can't complete this stupid mini-game, my best score so far is 104. Is there some kind of trick to getting to 200? I tried saving after every 25 dodges but when I reset the total seemed to reset too. I've got no encounters, does anyone know any more tips to complete it?

saving or re-entering the Agency re-sets the score, so don't do that <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
my trick was to go sum place that had strikes every 3 seconds or so, so you could get 200 in half an hour or less <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> turn everything off, concentrate hard and pause when its safe to do so, so u can rest ur eyes <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

i found a wicked place just outside the path to the Agency at the Northern end. just by the rocks on the left hand side.

I got 134 and then quit because of boredom..the best place is just south of travel agency about 30 steps down the main path. Take a rest every 15/20 dodges(Pause the game) and remember to count in your head. After you think that you have got 200 do about 10 more just to make sure.

You can try doing this with a friend or two, and switch something like every 20 dodge or something. Dodge the lightning, then go back to where it strikes you, then it will strike you again immediately, dodge it and go back to the same place, then there will be a pause before it strikes you again. Dodge, then go back to the same place and it strikes you immediately etc etc... It keeps on repeating like this (quick, slow, quick, slow)
Saving doesn't help I think... You just have to do this without bailing or going to the next map/screen. It's tough I know, and I really hate it just like how you do.
I did it with my sister's boyfriend, and we bailed at about 180, then we did it right next time. It's annoying but you can do it. Just dodge some and take a break, and continue it.

I once dodged 195...I had counted 185 at the time but I dodged 195....
After that dodging was easy.
There isn't much invovled, just good hand eye coordination.
And of course you have to be fully awake

hey theres this one spot that is a double hit zone if it hit that zone and dodge that bolt and run exactly same spot ull get flashed again...ok to be more percise on these direction..to get there u have to go in northern thunder plains then walk out about a bit up ahead u want to make a left with tidus..then ull see 2 craters(they have pools of water) not hard to see if u go the right spot..remeber 2 cratersand there left of when u enter teh northern aera

so again..(its kinda hard to do directions so im trying hardest to explain) once u enter the northern thunder plains to ur left u should see a wall that is blocking u from going left well move up foward untill the wall ends at that wall ending go left and again u see the 2 craters. 2 with pools of water..line tidus feet with the first crater (any where around the crater) and wait for lightning bolt to hit dodge it...NOW wuickly run back to that same spot and in a spilt seacond a nother lighting bolt will come down now the therd one will be same as any spot..but let me tell u this is much faster

for tips..turn off ur sound..and don't count the bolts as u dodge them cause some people(i dunno if its u im just saying this helps) lose focus when there counting and just loose it around 180-200 atleast do this non stop for atleast 1 hour in one hour of doing that i get i dunno atleast 300+ but its alwasy safe to do atleast one hour <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

haha i had a friend who counted for me and took over when my eyes got tired... and like that we got 1000 ligthnings... (i know but we had to try) ;D ....
not much other to do in ffx... becuse its to easy...
