Okay, i beat ffx-2 recently ( about 3 weeks ago). I thought the game was a 7/10. I didn't like that there were only like 5 main characters ( i didnt really think you got to know gipal, nooj, leblanc, and other characters well enough to call them main characters). I got the perfect ending and i was kind of disappointed at the length of the ending in general. The side quests sucked. None of them were appealing enough to do. You got their "special dress spheres" basically in the course of the regular game play, no intelligence or strategy required. I hated that some of the dress spheres, you could completely miss, without being given a hint you were missing htem.
i.e. if you dont talk to cladio or whatever his name is, he doesnt open the chocobo ranch. how the heck are you supposed to know that? be psychic?
I dont think following a guide is fun. I like to explore to my best ability, check the chat, and ask questions of other people, so i still have to figure out the most part of this game. Reading the guide word for word is not my idea of fun gameplay. I personally like games like summoner 2, where the side quests, even if only subtle hints are given, you still actually know their is a sidequest.
No way in hades would i ever play new game +, that's just playing a brand new game (from what i understand) how boring!
Compared to other final fantasies, i found this game completely linear. FFX, FFVIII, FFVII are all WAY better than this game. I love the 3 girls, but i like it more when you have more characters in your party, and a little more ability to manipulate and control your game play. Well now it's question time....

Actually, I changed my vote to a 6/10 for this game.

I chose #6.

Mainly, it needed more depth to story line, the obvious more playable characters, and it didn't really clear up issues left behind from FFX, which is kind of what most people would think it should do.

It doesn't explain why Tidus & Shuyin look alike, and Never explains the braid Yuna wears.

I did enjoy it though, just for fun, which was way different from the serious-ness from FFX.

They completely forgot to give Rikku any story in FFX-2. (Just Proof of the Gippal thing instead of just annoying hints would have helped.)

It will never compare to any of the other stories, but it does provide something different.

I never even thought of that, but it was annoying, so many just subtle hints on who the characters were, like Paine, didn't get enough attention in the game.
Thanks for answering guys

I picked #6

I got depressed when I got the Perfect Ending not because my brother interfered with my game but the reason behind it is that there are questions in FFX that hasn't been answered in FFX2 and although Yuna and Tidus are reunited there are still questions bugging off my mind many questions...really

As far as hints, if you would've checked down the list there were Mission/No Mission listed in an area, even if it wasn't a hotspot.

There was a mission in Ch1, that would've had a chance to speak with Clasko if you had gone there.

But there were still some probs & some fun with the game.

And the following a Guide is really only if you want to get 100% in one game, if you didn't want the 100% in one game you could probably get to it in 2 games if you went everywhere in every chapter & switch sides the 2nd game.

If you go everywhere in a ch. you could most likely get an episode complete everywhere with the exception of two places, The Moonflow Be Sure to see ALL 10 tickets in Ch2 & the Calm Lands, be sure to start the Publicity Campaigne no later than Ch3. And be very careful of your CommSpheres.

If you got to Ch5 & got tons of Episode Concludeds, which I did my first game, then you got the sorry endings for an area, things are a little happier & make more sense if you get an Episode Complete. If those were the endings you saw (Concluded) for an area then I can see why anyone would hate this game. (SPOILER - I let the Guado die my first game )

(I was just talking about episode completes.)

If Paine didn't have that much attention did you get all the Crimson Spheres?

The perfect ending is an extra scene you get for getting 100% after the FMV for the good ending.

Did you get the perfect or good?

Cause that could make a difference in your opinion of the game. Not because of this one little scene, but because the game makes more sense if you've taken care of everything.

I still stick with #6 for my review.
