Whoever said once the PSP comes out and than Nintendo will have trouble, well... I don't think I'll be spending 300 USD on a little handheld Playstation. It's only 500 USD cheaper then a PSX. I'd go and get that before I went and bought a PSP.

This whole console war thing is irritating. I hate having to constantly buy new consoles. Once they release the PS3, XBOX2, and GC2, a few years later PS4, Xbox3 and GC3 will come out as well. When will it stop? It's just nuts. But I guess it's good in some respects, it encourages these consoles to keep making better and better systems quickly.

But what I hate most is this "exclusivity" [censored]. I refuse to buy a new console just for one game. The worst is when they lie to you, like with GTA. They said it was a PS2 exclusive, then later on, they released it for all consoles. The word exclusive is just a marketing ploy to get ppl to buy a console, thinking that's the only console it will come out on. What greedy lying bastards.

I just hate being conned out of $. A $100 bucks here, a $100 bucks there, before you know it, I'm conned out of a $1000! It's just sickening that these videogame companies have to lie to us to make their money.

i would hav to go for the ps2 because of the amount of games, the xbox is twice as powerful but the graphics still arnt much better than the ps2 and the gc is ok if ur 6 or 7 but shouldnt b considered by ne1 older than that.

I have a GC. I'm older than six or seven. I don't think a six or seven year old would fair to well in MP and the soon to be MP2. I think that the GC would have done better had they not destroyed one of its key series. The Legend of Zelda. They should have enhanced the graphics, instead of just used cel-shading. And, comparably, the GC and XBox far exceed the graphics power of a PS2. I get good use out of my GC. Of course, Nintendo should let 3rd parties publish more, instead of them doing the publishing.

And, answer me this:
How can the XBox not be that much better than a PS2 and a GC graphic-wise when you say that the graphics are twice as good? Think before you hit that little button that says "Add Reply" next time. And maybe edit your message so it's readable. You didn't back up a single thing you said in your message, and you even contradicted yourself while trying to do so.

It's not so much an age limit, but I really don't think a parent would like watching their six or seven year old child disintigrating a Space Pirate with the Plasma Beam in MP. While most games aren't too violent on the GC, they are starting to become a little bit more, and they probably would be much more if Nintendo had third party publishers.

also a parent should be a parent and do there job on seeing what rating the game has..most don't now adays whicth is sad. But the gameqube does have some really good kid games that are fun for that age..ie super mario party and things like that.

i geuss cause everyone else oppiniated on why they got there console. i will...i got a ps2 because i own a ps1 and liked the games..and alwasy liked sony <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Hardcore nintendo fan. Even I am dissapointed in the gamecube. Is it the system? No. Its the game library! there's 8 or 9 decent games, 3, MAYBE 4 GOOD games out there for it. By that standard the PS2 is kicking the GCN's rear in a most spectacular standard.
