Hi everyone, Rosie is agree with what you say. Trying to do it on your own without some sort of support supplmentens or medicine, is often not the right way to go. Im the beginning i used citalopram, and this worked great, but my own concerns with medicines are that they are mostly to strong. I mean by this that they do not only tread the depression, but also mess other stuff up. No surprise by the way, if you think about how little is understood about the brain. I think it is best to use medicine with acute depression, because depression can have a quick onset and often lasts a few weeks. Not using medicine often makes it worse. But just like Rayna says, for the long run, it is better to try supplements, if it works! I use... a complex supplement with magnesium and calcium in 2:1 ration and a few other nutrients.
