I agree. Women get praised and congratulated for having kids regardless of their age, education level or financial status. Young girls get knocked up but friends and family hold baby showers with gifts and money etc. To most people, it seems that pregnancy is a happy event no matter what the circumstances are. I think women should be told the truth and reality: Kids take alot of work, time, money and will change your like forever. They should be given the good, bad and ugly before making any decisions about what to do with the baby. I personally think that I only look at the negative side of things when it comes to kids and am leaning towards not having kids. At least I am living in reality and have an idea what I would be getting into.
