I think there's a huge value in the blog of an aspiring writer. I frequent many of them myself. I like being able to look at the blog of the person who wrote the book I'm reading and see that she struggled with chapter 5 or that her kid broke his arm when she was rewriting the introduction or that she had 5 rejections and that her publisher was driving her crazy at some point. There's something about a blog that makes a person "real" and when I fall in love with them as a person, I will buy anything they produce.
I blog, but I'm not really aspiring to publish a book at this point. I just blog to let off steam and keep in touch with family. I really don't know why people read mine, I feel so boring.
