I am not looking forward to dating. My oldest experienced her first crush at the tender age of 8. I was shocked by the emotions that came flooding in from my childhood and how deeply I was affected by the angst my daughter was feeling. Thankfully her first crush was on a boy who is sweet and has a wonderful family. From what I have witnessed, the kids have a great friendship. We stress to our children that at their ages, their job is to learn how to be friends. Pairing off and dating come later.
