For Butterfly67: I always wanted to learn to knit, too, and about two years ago I took a beginning knitting class at A.C. Moore. Discovered I absolutely hated knitting (too many things to remember to do, but it reminded me how much I loved working with yarn, so that's how I got started crocheting again after not doing so for probably 20 years. I had to start back at the basics, but it was pretty much like riding a bicycle. It all came back pretty quickly and I'm much more adventurous with stitches and hook size than I ever was before!
