Here is a blog post about the OldNews.com: https://blog.myheritage.com/2024/03/these-genealogists-already-struck-gold-on-oldnews-com/

A Lenten Reflection Angie 03/14/24 01:24 AM
REFLECT, PRAY, AND LIVE WITH FR. PATRICK MARY BRISCOE, O.P.

REFLECT

Jesus teaches, “The Father loves the Son and shows him everything that he himself does” (Jn 5:20). Our Lord reveals his unique relationship with his Father, and his message is clear: He acts in perfect unity with the Father’s will. For us though, we must constantly work to conform our will to the Father’s. We must abandon our plans and surrender to God’s designs continually. Even in those moments when suffering makes it difficult to believe in God’s plan for our goodness, we can have confidence in the Father’s will, for his Son defeated sin and death.

PRAY

Lord Jesus, during this Lenten season, may we seek to understand the profound unity between you and the Father. Help us embrace the Father’s will so we can live in harmony with his divine plan. Amen.

LIVE

Take a walk around your neighborhood today or someplace where you can enjoy nature. Marvel at God’s power, which orders and governs all things.

Whether a sewing beginner or master of advanced techniques or anywhere in-between stitching by hand takes on an almost meditative quality. Sewing or mending by hand allows for a relaxed attentive focus as the eyes and hands work together in quiet contemplation.

The doc played on March 8th at the SXSW Film Festival and is garnering excellent reviews. No wide release has been announced yet but I will keep you posted. In the meantime, you can check out a conversation with Lawless about the film in this video. Never Look Away: Lucy Lawless
