Heading into the time for my 10pm meditation. I'll test out the fireplace DVD tonight with a glass of Bordeaux .

Yes, we send healing vibes to everyone when we meditate - referring to the guidelines I learned at the Integral Yoga Institute, refrain from food or drink an hour before practicing hatha and meditation so the body is not putting energy into a surge of digestion. Same directions I was given before jumping into the pool. Right now I'm settling down for the 8pm group world wide meditation. Come join in at 8pm your local time. Our group energy can lift the planetary vibration. Let's go for it!

It's lovely that you were meditating at 2pm! At 2pm I was meeting up with a friend of mine to go out for a fantastic day at a local sculpture park. We brought along her 15 year old son and had a blast. Sunshine, gentle breezes, and fascinating art to make us think. It was a walking meditation!

Ten minutes until my 10pm meditation. I'll try the "music track" of my fireplace video to see how that is, so I can write that up. I found the non-music track to be oddly "sped up". The fire was flickering wildly as if they made the track run at double time or triple time. Maybe they thought it was more interesting that way? I didn't find it relaxing.

So if the music-track of the DVD is the same way, I probably won't be giving the DVD a stellar review.

It's so odd, how can someone make a recording of a fireplace "not right"? . All they had to do was point a camera at a fireplace and let it stay there for a half hour. Intriguing stuff!

Yup both tracks have the same speed issue, which makes sense. It seems to be the same video track, just with or without music. So a nice concept, but a less than stellar implementation.
