We're baaaa-ack!
Ol' Granpappy and I missed this ol' cabin and decided to move back home. I dusted out the cabin, spiffed up the front porch, potted some pretty geraniums, and got the place a lookin' just fine.
Granpappy is up the hill and back in the woods repairin' and cleanin' up his ol'...shed. I can see the dust a flyin' from the back porch.
Yesterday Granpappy and I gathered a ton of apples from the ol' orchard and I have been bakin' up a storm here. Got applie pie, apple brown Betty, tarts, dumplings, and caramel sauce to dip apples in. Come on over and help us eat it all up.
Bring your banjos, fiddles, tubs, spoons, washboards, anything you can play music on. Oh! and wear your dancin' shoes. We are gonna have us a good old-fashioned, foot-stompin', hoot-and-holler shindig!
Bring your friends. This is a place where we can pretend and put ourselves back into the old days when life was simple and folks gathered on the Front Porch. So..let go of the stress and daily tasks for a few minutes and join us for fun!

Alright, Rosie! I knew I could count on you to bring something good to our shindig. What a Gal -- what a good neighbor!
If you can get B here it should be a blast. Hope Vance shows up, too.

I went to the creek this morning, to take in a bit of fresh air and the nature around me. Boy does that sure feel good. The creek with the sound of water flowing is so calming, i feel sleepy again, i splashed a little water in my face, took a deep drink and walked back to the porch to meet with the others.

Welcome back, Vance. I knew you would show up sooner or later. Bet ol' Granpappy is happy to see you.
So...how's it going with the... shed repairs? Hope you guys don't blow up anything back up there.

Sure - glad to have ya come by anytime. Plinkin' off those varmins will help the chickens to settle down. I never was too good with a slingshot, but with a 22 I could pop a rat right off its tracks.

I thought that if we kept things silent, it wouldn't raise the suspicions of the distant neighbors. Theyd know we're shooting at something theyd prefer be cook up for BBQ & be running over with drool hanging from their lips. Don't like them unruly pesty kids of theirs chasing down the chickens or tyhrowing rocks at the horses.
Maybe we could do archery or crossbows? Even air pellet guns!
