Hello Everyone,

Amaryllis, with their striking trumpet-shaped flowers and vibrant colours, make for stunning additions to any indoor or outdoor garden. These beautiful bulbs are relatively easy to grow in containers and will offer a burst of colour and elegance to your home or garden.

Follow the link below to see if you will be adding one or two of these beauties to your garden soon!

Hello Everyone,

I was out to tea today and the outdoor cafe had the most marvellous display of Amaryillis and orange Clivia in bloom. There was such a profusion of blooms so cleverly displayed on old painted step ladders. The owner, Mitch, is also a gardener and sells plants (mainly bulbs and herbs) at the back of the restaurant/tea garden.

I don't have enough shade in my patch to grow Clivia but I can get some more Amaryllis, and having seen this today, of course we came back home via the nursery ... and it all has just made my purse skinny!

How are your bulbs doing? Are any blooming? Do tell.

Cheers

My Christmas amaryllis did not bloom at Christmas but it surprised me with an Easter bloom. It was beautiful.

Hi Angie,

I don't speak bulb either, and I think it depends on how you look after the bulb once it has bloomed.

After your amaryllis has finished blooming, place it in a bright indoor location, water it regularly and fertilize monthly with an all-purpose houseplant or indoor plant fertilizer. I used a kelp-based fertiliser and have had good luck getting mine to bloom again.

Anyway Angie, that was a good Easter present!

Cheers now!
