Idioms often are descriptive expressions. Peta recently came out with a list of objectionable idioms and substitutes.

Here is an article Peta Says No More ....

Bring Home the Bacon is one of many. What do you think about this. Even well known quotations might have some verbiage which will become objectionable. Is society going too far with political correctness?
