My mother in law is hooked on shows like Peter Gunn, Perry Mason, Columbo, Matlock. When she first found Peter Gunn I enjoyed a couple of the episodes - it is like anthropology 101. The way people are dressed, the cars they drive, the show itself. After all, these shows were filled in the late 40s or early 50s. I am amazed at the cigarette smoking -= nothing like someone walking into your home and lighting up without even asking. I guess we never thought much about it back then although I always recall "guests" (including police interrogators) asking if it was ok to smoke.
We are still watcching Peter Gunn, Perry MMason, Columbo, Matlock, Garage Sale, Half Baked, Book Store (not quite the right names). I'm ready for the funny farm. Fortunately, I can find things to do like post to Bella or write notes, listen to webinars, etc.
