I can't remember the last time I ate anything I would call cajun or creole. It is very outside my normal range. I like it - but we never cook it. I don't think any restaurants around here in Massachusetts serve it.

Do people in areas outside of say Louisiana find this same thing?

The last thing I ate was jambalaya. The best is the original you can get in New Orleans. I order it here in VA when I can find it, but it doesn't have the same spicyness.

hi..................

Rice, seafoods of all sorts, snake, dog, cat, noodles, cakes, and dumplings. It really depends on where in China you live. \

thanks

We recently got a Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen here in our area. I am very anxious to try it. I love Cajun food but do not like to cook it myself. I made a big pot of gumbo a few months ago and my family loved it! But, I could not eat it because I had to put all those "things" in there.

I once gave my son a cookbook by Paul Prudhomme and he loves it! It is all Cajun recipes.

I know they bill Popeye's as cajun. I'm wondering if Louisiana residents proclaim it true Cajun fare? It's really good, yet very greasy and I do prefer Popeyes over KFC.

Let me know if you like it.

My daughter's fiance is from Louisiana and is so excited that we now have a Popeye's. He said it is so good and very popular in Louisiana.

I still have not been out there yet. Soon, I hope.

I love Cajun and Creole cooking. There used to be a chef from Louisiana Justin _________?. I think I made everything he ever cooked on the show. Now that I'm older I have it less but even when I eat it I use less spice. I love the Cajun Sparkle in the little packets that you get at Popeye's.

We had a wonderful New Orleans style restaurant here in central Massachusetts but sadly it closed down. A neighboring restaurant was fairly ruthless, claimed they were going to help the Cajun restaurant to better, then bought them and kicked them out. Now there isn't any good cajun restaurant anywhere around. I suppose it means I have to learn to cook more recipes ...
