Do your kids go without cookies because you scrapbook? Oh how I wish! Unfortunately my grandma makes sure that they get all the sugar that they need!

When did you start scrapping? I have been Scrapping since I was in high school by cutting out letters from magazines to make my titles, etc! LOL Then I learned about safe scrapbooking 8 years ago.

What got you started? In high School my Best Friend and I were always wanting to preserve our memories. We would draw little comics of ourselves to act out some exciting thing that we never wanted to forget! We still have those....but since most of them also included old boyfriends I had to let my best friend keep them at her house because my very jealous husband (sorry honey I did have a life before you!) couldn't handle my reminiscing old memories and possibly thinking of an old bo!

And all the other stuff.....
I love the Lord, my family and scrapping!

Hello everyone!
My name is Jennifer
I'm 30 - WOW...first time I've written that down.
I'm an Inventory Analyst.
I'm married to my high school sweetheart - we have been married for 13 years and going strong! He is the love of my life! <img src="/images/graemlins/heart.gif" alt="" /> He is a deputy sheriff and in the military. I'm very proud of him and all he does to serve our community and country. We do not have any children; but we do have a German Shepherd named - Badge. He is 5.

We do a lot of church and community volunteer work. We coach a little league football team and teach children's church.

I'm an Army brat and proud of it!!! So I've been all over the world.

I love to scrapbook, learn signlanguage, work out/jog, and read.

My husband is very supportive in my scrappin' adventures; from crops, to cruises - he is wonderful. I've been scrapping since 2000 and have not stopped since.

My friend got me started when she went to a CM party - I never got into that; but love all the lumpy embellishments, ribbons, metals, distressing, and all the good stuff.

You can check my scrapbook club out online at:
http://daisyjen.home.insightbb.com/wsb/html/view.cgi-home.html-.html

I'm so glad I found this wonderful site to dig into!
Thanks!

I'm Barb and I live in a small town in western PA. I'm 53 years old (yikes!) and have lived in this area all my life. Have a wonderful hubby who is a house painter/paperer and two daughters, ages 21 and 24. We will celebrate our 29th anniversary this fall. I majored in music education in college and directed my church choir for over 25 years, but gave it up a few years ago. Now I am enoying just singing in the choir. I have taught preschool for the past 19 years. The kids are really a hoot!
I am a four-year breast cancer survivor. I've enjoyed a variety of crafts. Currently I'm into tea bag folding. I've only done a few scrapbooks, but have really enjoyed working on them and was pleased with the results. I can't walk by a display of scrapbooking stuff without stopping to look and usually buying something. Need to get started on a new project - hoping you will al inspire me!
Posted By: hobittwife Re: Introductions - 04/10/06 02:48 PM
Welcome Barb! And congrats on your survivor status! I know what you mean about enjoying just singing in the choir instead of having the responsiblity of directing...been there and done that.

Michelle - will be looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Scrapbookers!
My name is Mriya.
I currently live in Oregon, but will be relocating to Kentucky soon. I am in my 50's, and am a scrapbook paper designer. I have been married for 9 years (second marraige) to my husband Dale, who is a chemist. I have two sons. The older is 21 years old an a junior in collage, the younger one is 19, taking a year off and working at NetFlix. My degree is in communication, I have owned a video production/photography company, been a cross cultural liason between Hanford and Chornobyl, worked as a translator and have done fund raising and event planning. I am a first generation American. My parents were WW2 refuges from Ukraine. I love paper and all paper crafts, scrapbooking, stamping, and am a silver clay instructor. My website is a Ukrainian e-card site, www.ukiecards.com and www.folkimpressions.com which will soon have a gallery. I have been published on the Art Impressions website, but have only recently started to submit work to publications. I don't hide my scrapbook budget from my husband but there are times I make mac and cheese more often to subsidize my scrap booking budget. I don't remember a time when I didn't do one kind of a paper craft or another. I started stamping about 20 years ago and was dragged into scrap booking by my sister, who was frustrated that she couldn't find the scrapbook paper she wanted a few years ago... so we started designing our own.

Welcome Mriya! It is wonderful to see some activity on this forum again. It has been horribly quiet here for soooooo long. I hope we can get this forum up and running again now that summer is here. There is a ton of knowledge on this forum, and I think you have brought a ton more with you. Welcome again, and good luck with your move.

Hi everyone, I'm new to forums although my husband is an old hand at them. He's an rc flyer. Anyway my name is Karen and I have two boys Brandon who's 26 and Cameron who's nine. Yes, I said 26 and nine! Oh and I've been married to the same person for 27 years. Man plans and God laughs!!! I've been scrapbooking traditionally for ten years and started digially when creative memories came up with some great programs! My real job is a retinal photographer and angiographer. Yes there are times when I don't tell my husband how much I spend, but his hobby is still more expensive than mine. No I do not borrow grocery money for scrapbooking. I try not to feed my son too many cookies. As far as what got me stated, my best friend got me a creative memories &quot;kit&quot; as a shower gift when I was pregnant with Cam and 2 years ago I became a consultant to help support my habit! I like digial photography but I still love film. I really like having the prints in my hands.

HI! I'm Vivienne (the new papercrafting editor here).
I live in Denmark with DH and 2 girls ages 11 and 14. I am 41 (and proud of it!). We just moved here to denmark so I am taking language classes daily. I am 1/2 of the design team ViVa Artistry selling digital scrapbooking supplies at the DigiChick and also a CTM for Christina Renee Designs. I do not hide my purchases from DH...he knows and thankfully understands. Besides, his hobbies cost more.
IRL, I am a former marketing specialist working in the computer industry and also at UofMichigan Medical School.
I am a huge papercrafter and so I do both types of scrapbooking, paper and digi although more of the digi since it's faster and less messier. I am getting into hybrid papercrafting, using computers to aid in the actual crafting. I have done papercrafting and scrapbooking since my early teens (a LONG time).
You can see my blog at vivaartistry.blogspot.com
