Help me name my Native American newsletter. Winner will receive the book:"The Complete Guide To Traditional Native American Beadwork" by Joel Monture.

This is a beautifully illustrated, well-written book with easy to follow instructions and is "A Definitive Study of Authentic Tools, Materials, Techniques, and Styles".

To get a better idea of a good name for the newsletter, you can view my newsletter archive at the following link:
Native American Newsletter

Just enter your ideas for a name by posting in this thread. On October 15 we will all vote for the four best names. Then I will conduct a poll for others to vote and choose the name.

So - what do you think?

Now those names sound good, Mary. Thanks for your contribution.

I will have to check each name on the internet to make sure we will not be using someone else's newsletter name.

I know that 'Black Bear' does a 3/week newsletter entitled 'Dream Catcher' ( blackbear.dreamcatcher'at'yahoo.ca - I wrote the @ in a manner to preclude having it not meet posting protocols - 'at' = @). It contains historical accounts, artifact pictures, artist works, etc. I've read for many moons now.

Can easily subscribe to it by sending e-mail to: TA_DreamCatcher-subscribe'at'yahoogroups.com

In keeping to a gentler title, I propose:

- The Totem Pole
- Tipi Talks
- The Lodgepole
- Tatanka Tales
- Eagle Roost
- Kiva Kalls
and my fav...
- The Sipapu (Wiki: a Hopi word, is a small hole or indentation in the floor of kivas used by the Ancient Pueblo Peoples and modern-day Puebloans. It symbolizes the portal through which their ancient ancestors first emerged to enter the present world.) A place of emergence.

I even thought of Smoke Signals, but believe it's over used by many others.

We have so many good suggestions from just two of you. I will close the suggesting stage on September 25 instead of October 15.

Mary,I will have to change this suggestion to Drumbeat Echos since there is another newsletter named Drumbeat. You will still get credit for this. Thank you.
