I've looked at a few walkthroughs, but haven't seen this anywhere, and I don't want to spoil too much. Hopefully someone here knows. In the northwest corner of the Calm Lands, there's a path with a guard that says he can't let you go through, but if something interesting happens... Is this a red herring, or how do I make something interesting happen so I can explore there. I have the airship, got beaten royally by Sin, so I've started doing the sidequests and trying to get a little better before tackling it again. Ok... I'll give you a little but helpfull clue.

Go to the Chocobo lady/guy (don't know what is he/she really) and raise your chocobo.

Ok, now, SERIOUSLY, Don't read, try to do what you can without readind below

You must get 0.0 seconds racing the chocobo trainer. To do it yo must get like 13-15 ballons and get to the goal evading all the birds (NO BIRD CAN HIT YOU OR NO 0.0 SECONDS!!)

If you do it that way, you'll mark like 35 seconds and with the ballons you should have got a negative final score, but these trainers nowadays in spira don't know how to count back from 0 to minus infinity, so you'll get 0.0 seconds.

Sounds and seems imposible, I did it in about 20 or 30 tries, but there are harder things than that (dodging thunders for example, I'm into that, ya?)

ya good explanation but its going to take the patiance of yourself to actuly do it

and yojimbo the dodging lightbolts is pretty easy <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> theres a little spot(ok thank you again chocobo eater for this) that two bolts hits twice ok and where it is is the seacond area and then go to your left and youll see two creaters with water and if you stand close to the first time and a bolt well hit QUIKLY run back to it you ahve bout barly a seacond to do this and ANOTHER bolt comes right after and then the third one will come normaly

ok turn off the sound, also if you do well underpreasue stay underpreasue if not try and stay calm and a another thing do not count the bolts it distracts you ok now your saying how will i know oh in just about 1 hour or even a bit les youll have way over 200( i had 687 <img src="/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> ) but still always do it for 1 hour just in case <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
