Hi guys
Just wanted to put down my feelings on this subject
Basicly, i live in UK, i can't say i favour either USA or UK as far as all the politics your talking about goes, that does not worry me, i am not part of that scene.
Personally if you ask me which is better USA or UK and i am going to think you mean as in us citizens, i take a person for who they are, i dont steriotype at all and imo i think, who cares what our governments do, that was no choice of ours, we didnt tell them to do it and neither can we control it so i dont waste my time thinking of all the things we (i.e both countries governments) do wrong, we all make mistakes and that includes those prime ministers and presidents
So if you ask me as far as economy goes, bearing in mind again that i am English i would have to say USA, i envy them so much, look at the house prices here in England, damn be a long time before i am able to get a mortgage worthy of the house i want lol and then i look at house prices in USA and wonder why i had to be born in this country and that is not just house prices, it is everything, England is short on land therefore prices are more expensive, England has to import almost everything which drives prices up and we dont really have anything (that i can think of) that ppl can only buy from us in preference to other countries which makes our prices go up.
In America you live to enjoy life, in England you live to work in hope you may enjoy yourself (i mean a standard person not a mega rich person ) even tho there is a lot of "poor" people in America there is everywhere but luxuries as simply as going to the movies is just so much cheaper in America.
If we talk about how our governments run our countries i have to yet again agree with America's ways in preference to England. England has alot more unemployed people as America makes jobs out of nowhere because they want people to work instead of claiming benefits, altho they have more space to be able to do that.
I could go on forever about all of this but America is the place to live in my opinion, why don't i move there? I have 2 children, i am no longer with the father and he wouldnt allow me to move that is my main concern, i wouldnt take my children away from their family but also i would feel intimadated by Americans, my sister in law is American, my fiancee is Canadian (big difference between the 2 in attitudes *giggle*) I have met alot of American's, at a count about 3 thousand or more and most of them intimidate me, but i still take the person for who they are but i doubt i could live happily and comfortably (emotionally) in America as i do in England
Does any of this make sense? Lol
