I recently swapped out some of my tops - it was time to pull out the winter items again. I tossed a number of tops. I'm planning a winter vacation so I'm separating my tops out so that I can do layering to keep warm. Funny thing though, where I am going is probably warmer than home. LOL

I don't think I have purchased any new clothing in three years. Covid changed the way I dress and how I view my needs. It is time though to check my closet - some items are looking a bit worn. I get enough catalogs in the mail to see what is being featured.

I broke down and purchased a dress and a top. The fabric is beautiful and I like the pattern. I saw an ad on Facebook. The company, NNESI, said made in South Carolina and of recycled materials. I need to weed thru my summer items to be sure they look decent - they are showing some age.

I'm still weeding through my clothes. I found some additional tops yesterday. The weather has been so strange that my fall clothes are still being worn. Sleeveless and short sleeve tops are waiting to be worn. When I do wear a short sleeve top, I need to take a jacket or sweater with me. On Thursday, I am going to Washington DC (a group of us by van) to attend a luncheon. I'm going to wear a dress that has a short sleeve jacket but I will probably take a wrap with me. A/C in restaurants and other buildings often make sitting through an event difficult if you're cold.

It's a year since I last posted. Talk about strange weather. I was wearing long sleeves for quite a long time then one day it was summer and out came all my summer clothing. Since I had a few items I could give away, I called HelpVets (formerly like Amvets), I gathered items, called them to schedule a pick up, and made a little dent in my closet. As I put clothes back in the closet after laundering I will try to determine what I have not worn and let it go. The Last batch I donated included items which I had worn at work. I notice people do not dress for work these days and I don't dress up as much so it was pointless to hold on to them.

Now I'm doing more swapping out of the wardrobe. It's fall (yesterday was the first day of Autumn). These in between times make it difficult to swap out the tops. I did taket my capris out of circulation. I'll decide next spring if I need to let this batch go and buy new. The sleeveless items were washed and put away. How are you doing with your change of season?
