Would you like to earn a million bucks?

Yeah, me too. When you figure out how, please let me know. I lied to grab your attention as is so prevalent today in the world of media. Hook, line, and sinker seem to be a popular fishing method. Once in a while, I fall for those awful clickbait articles, which are so mind-numbingly frustrating, too. But these article links below are not fake news. Over the years, it's been proven, positive thinking is a potent tool, and it's about time we spread good news instead of the virus.

It's been a rough couple of months for all of us—worldwide. From the horrendous fires and massive destruction in Australia in January to the deadly virus gripping the hearts and minds of people the world over to the tragic and senseless mass shooting in Nova Scotia, it's no wonder most of us are on sensory overload.

So this week's forum post is about only good news, heartwarming tales, and a bit of laughter.
Back to a normal post next week. But if you have a heartwarming puppy-eye story, share with us.

My heart burst when I saw the following news story out of the small town of Sundre, Alberta, https://www.reddeeradvocate.com/news/wild-horse-rescued-from-sundre-area-bog/. A group of good samaritans, from Help Alberta Wildies Society, discovered this filly stuck in the bog while they were scoping the area on their ATVs. In Sundre, about 1000 wild horses are roaming the pastures. Faith, as they aptly named her after the ordeal, had been fighting for her life when they finally, after about 45 minutes of trying, pulled her free. Thank you!

Next, this segment is dedicated to this inspiring group of ‘Quarantined Natives’ who made me laugh. This duo is genuine and funny. I'm so glad I discovered their YouTube channel and their earthy sense of humor. https://youtu.be/oDynbZsnjwo Between the dog drumming with its tail and the jingle dance compilation that is so beautiful and heartwarming, this channel is a hit. The song accompanying the dance is stunning.

To the north of us, polar bears are braving the ice and feasting. There's love in the air as cub-less sows are ready to mate between April and May. And if the word has a love affair, it’s with the lovable antics of polar bear cubs as they emerge from hibernation with their mothers. To resist a polar bear cub’s cuteness-factor is futile.

In the world of science, a French company is celebrating an enzyme discovered within composted foliage. This breakthrough is capable of breaking down the world's worst nemesis, plastic, into a recyclable format in a few short hours. Carbios is already in discussion with Pepsi and L'Oréal to bring this invention/discovery to the forefront of an industry that needs a hand in dealing with single-use plastic. https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/newly-developed-enzyme-breaks-down-plastic-bottles-in-hours/

Although this is a yearly occurrence, nothing warms the heart more than grown men rescuing baby ducks. On Sunday, May 3, 2020, concerned citizens contacted Guelph, ON, Police Services after two ducklings fell through the storm drain and were trapped. The cute ducklings were rescued and reunited with their mom. All waddled away unharmed.

And last but not least Jennifer Aniston reaches out to a nurse who contracted COVID19 and shares photographs of her adorable, and I'm assuming spoiled dogs. https://people.com/pets/jennifer-aniston-shares-photo-of-her-dogs-lounging/

Stay tuned as next week we meet either an illustrious Canadian writer or head south to a prairie town that has a wide-reaching reputation.

It would also be awesome if you signed up for my https://www.bellaonline.com/site.asp?name=canadianculture or visit me on my personal channel at https://monikarmartynauthor.wordpress.com/

And more importantly, I want you to enjoy a good week. May there be sunshine in your forecast, if not, learn to dance in the rain.

Monika, what a great collection of luminous stories. I can't think where I'd spend a million dollars, so these were much better. Thank you.
