Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday I am spending with my 8 year old grandson. We are attending grandchild/grandparent camp. This is travel through history and a chance to spend time with Lukas. The kids played old-time games, tried their hand at the bucket brigade and had two teams had a relay race to empty out their barrel of water and put out the 'fire', made little sailing vessels, dug in the dirt and found artifacts, plus had lectures (probably geared more to the grandparents) of historical interest. What fun!

Had a third day of camp with my grandson. It was well done. There were lots of games that were based on everyday chores like laundry. There was a laundry day relay race - two teams washing socks in a bucket- soaping, scrubbing, wringing, running to the clothes lines, pinning the sock to the line. Next child takes it off and runs it to the bucket to repeat - the kids loved it all. We did archealogy - digging in the dirt and today they had to put an artifact together (like a puzzle). There was brick-making, brick-laying, and foundation work. The kids got into that too. They tried flailing wheat and grinding corn.

The day was beautiful but, at the very end, it stormed. Fortunately, the ice cream sundaes at the end tempered the bad weather.

Soon after I went to bed I thought I was losing my eyes so I did not do my morning routine normally of course, everything is still there but I do not feel like writing them here hours later.

So yesterday I went to bed at 3:46 and after a few seconds there were flashing lights in my eyes (i think it was just in the right eye) and it got worst and worst, got up for a while then after a while more back in bed it slowly went away (in all it probably just was a few minutes), somehow I managed to sleep then woke up to my parents screaming at each others, did not fall back asleep, they both ran errands after 9:00 so got up to call the eye clinic in Matane we go to, the secretary said it could be serious which is when I really panicked, had an 11:15 appointment available but she hung up to talk to the doctor, I minutes later called my parents but they were separated so mom called me when dad got to her, I called the clinic, we got there less than six minutes before and luckily nothing wrong, we went to two stores (got a new pair of earrings since a few days ago i lost 1) then a restaurant between there and here, later that day mom installed for me a dreamcatcher above my bed, got a call from my agent at the job center, did the few things I do every day on the internet, that is basically it.
