Out of curiosity, I found a site: 8 great things that have happened thru facebook Everyone seems to have such vehemently strong opinions for or (mostly) against facebook. Aside from media influence telling us what to think, what is your own derived opinion? Personally, I could take it or leave it either way.

Everybody knows my wild and crazy opinions (ha ha) I'm just passionate about expressing myself. No hate here though. I don't like it but if others do, then whatever : )

I'm on FB and I like seeing the photos and stuff my kids post. Most of the other friends I have on there are people I went to high school with and I don't really care all that much what they are doing right now. I just check in now and then to see what's on there but don't put much up about myself or what I'm doing.

I find that I can keep up with my dispersed family better with FB than I ever did with email, which itself was 100 x better than the USPS. True, I sometimes learn more about my college-age grandchildren than I really want to know, but that's the chance I take!

As with anything else, I take what I like and leave the rest. I get a little concerned for some people who use facebook as a diary or to -itch about anything they can think of. I just skip over those rants and read or post what interests me.

HA HA Phyllis, okay, I'll stop putting my diary on facebook... and what?? You didn't want to hear about my hair washing routine?? LOL!!
I agree... sometimes too much is too much. But I love that I can see what's going on with my kids - and even some of their friends. I make lists, so I can, at a glance, see what my family is up to, then close friends, etc. The people who are really annoying just get blocked from my feed without me having to unfriend them.
One of my friends kept going on and on about his ex-wife. She's my friend too LOL!!! Finally I just "hid" him.

That website is worst than garbage (would love to use another word but its censored here) and I am proud to say I have never been a member and certainly never will be. Plus it looks like a cult and it is crazy that almost every websites you can be a member of have a way to login with them.

I have a friend who post 10 times a day - where she is, what she is doing, reposting stuff. I post a photo once in awhile but I am not a big fan.
