I was just reading an article how Greece is upset that they are losing their language to English. Many young people simply use English instead or use English letters for Greek because it's easier on the computer. I wonder if this is happening to many languages - that the youngsters are either mixing in English or just using English letters out of convenience.

Interesting idea. Angeles is still encouraging the study of Spanish. I think she had a problem logging in here.

Hi Lisa! I have to say Spanish language is "adopting" more and more English words, which, as far as I know, is also happening in other languages! This is due to the influence of Englilsh in bussiness and also in everything related to computing, online games, etc... I can only say... Languages are like "alive beings", they evolve. We need to preserve and respect our languages, but, on the other hands, we need to understand languages always had influences from other languages. So interesting! :-)

Estamos muy bien. No vaccine todavia. Virginia esta muy poco. Mis nietos están en la escuela. Mi hija es una profesora pero ensena via virtualmente.

Oh, in Spanish, "the vaccine" is "la vacuna".

En España la vacuna va mal :-( ¡Muy despacio!

Ahora, en las escuelas de España, hay una minoría virtualmente. La mayoría de los estudiantes van a su clase en persona.
