When I first visited Callaway Vineyards and Winery in 2002 it was the largest winery in in California’s Temecula Valley. Now under private ownership it is a small boutique operation hand making quality wines. I visited it again in November and took a cellar tour.
I have friends in southern California who are great fans of the Hart Winery in Temecula. I've visited with them on occasion. Always an enjoyable visit - small and friendly. And I'm a fan of California reds, and they have some good ones.
