Yesterday it was changing and windy.

At night it was windy, lightning off/on and thundering off/on.

When I went to bed it was thundering and windy.

When I got up it was windy and the sun was mostly risen.

We have had warm but mild temperatures in the 80s in Central Virginia but things will begin heating up again. The sky has been clear at night.

OK, I just read that here in The Netherlands last night was our coldest in 23 years on this date - freezing, 32F.

We are due for a mini ice age.

Farmers Almanac said this:

"If the first week in August is unusually warm,
The winter will be white and long."

The last week of July was brutal and the first week of August was not quite as hot but it was hot.

Today it is very hot and very humid. We are under a weather warning to stay inside and stay cool. We had a spot of rain this afternoon, and I should say it cover several spots, dried up quickly and - you guessed - got hotter!

OK - we're back to our regular summer temps in the upper 60s but that's better than freezing. I wonder if our tomatoes will now stop ripening? (From yesterday's freezing temps.) frown

Yesterday it was sunny and windy.

At night it was windy.

When I went to bed it was windy.

When I got up it was windy and the sun was almost completely risen.

If they stop ripening, you'll have to make "fried green tomatoes." What strange weather we are all experiencing. When the winds change, it brings in odd conditions.
