This weekend I'm watching 48 TV episodes of Perry Mason during a marathon on Hallmark Channel. At the very end of "The Case of the Frantic Flyer" Perry Mason made a closing comment, then the show went dark. I don't think I got it exactly right, but it sure is close.

My question is - what do you think of his comment? Do you agree or disagree?

Here is my version of the quote as best I remember: "Murder is real simple. It's the getting away with it that is complicated and difficult."

Hmm. I'm enough of a pessimist to believe that a great many murderers are never found out.

Maeve,

I tend to agree with you. Maybe the comment should be, "Of those that have been discovered, it's the getting away with it..."

The longer I live, the more I realize there are a lot of things going on in the world that we don't know about and never will.

Thanks for leaving your comment. Unfortunately, I do agree.

I agree as long of course you have no conscience which is needed (with the exception of awful people - my conscience do not work for them) to kill (or rape or torture and the list sadly goes on).
