Did you drink tea today? Hot or cold? Sweet or bitter? Share what kind of tea you drank today. I'll start first.

**I had a cold lychee tea today and I kind of missed it since it had been months since I tasted it last. It was a little bit sweet, which I loved. ^_________^

Thanks for asking. I had a simple mug of matcha~

Lychee tea is not yet popular in the USA store shelves yet. Our tea is becoming more and more diverese hope to try this soon.

Where do you purchase this? Thank you for your interest in the subject of tea.

Hello Mary!

You're welcome laugh I purchased my cold lychee tea on a commercial store in a mall near my home. At first, I was a little bit wary of what the taste might be but after tasting my first sip ages ago, it tasted so good that I became a regular customer of the same store.

Cold lychee tea is awesome!
Matcha? What's that? (if you don't mind me asking)

Styxx - wow you threw me for a loop on this one. I honestly don't know how to explain it. I was going to cheat and look it up on Google, but I won't. smile
It's not bitter, or real sweet, to me it just has a rich flavor. That is so lame, but I can't think how else to describe it. smile

"Shaking, Shaking, Taste it Right Now"

I saw this message on my milk tea cup and I was literally awed when I saw my drink being shook with pretty fast with a machine. It was so cool that I wished that I took a picture.

Anyway, I had an original milk tea. It's milk and some mystery ingredients that I don't know. It tasted delicious and I know that in the future I will buy it again.

Hello Chel!

Bubble Tea? No I haven't heard or have it. But I googled it and it's some kind of Thai Tea. Thanks for the question because now I have to look for that Bubble Tea in my favorite tea stores.

Today I had an Okinawa Pearl Milk Tea. It has a rich, deep flavor that I somehow liked and didn't like at the same time. That's why I didn't quite finish it. SORRY! But it's not for me.

I bought a second tea for today since I wasn't satisfied with the first one.

Blueberry Fruit Tea. One word: Yummy! I immediately finished this one in 30 minutes, more or less. I shall stick with fruit teas from now on.

Styxx, Darjeeling is a tea made from a tea plant, so not a fruity or herbal tea. It's an Indian tea from Darjeeling in West Bengal. Sometimes it's called "the champagne of teas", though I think that may be a bit of an exaggeration.

I wasn't sure how I'd describe it, so I've looked for assistance and agree that when brewed it's a delicate "light-coloured [tea] with a floral aroma . . . and a musky spiciness."

Sometimes I get it in tea bags - Twining does it - but it's not as good as getting the loose tea from a good tea shop.

Mona, thanks for replying. Darjeeling sounds very nice to drink. I'm sure I'll be looking for it at my tea shops. "Champagne of teas"? That's a really high standard name for it. I hope that when I do taste it, it will live up to my expectations.

Tea bags are nice and all but it doesn't really have that realness compared to loose teas.

Again, thank you!

Styxx, Luzianne is a brand that features orange pekoe and cut black teas. I have always liked it but when my store was not carrying it I began using English Breakfast which is a much stronger and full bodied tea.

I also enjoy many herbal and infused teas and often try new ones.

Loose tea is the actual solid bits and pieces in tea and tea bags contain a lot of tea dust.

Some tea bags are better than others, I suppose. I am not an expert in this.

Dear Angie,

Yes some companies do use the"bits" of what's left for some tea bags, but there are companies out there that sell tea that is close to full loose leaf tea in the bags. Some tea bags are shaped like pyramids or like a sachet. This allows for the expansion of a full loose leaf tea.

Also tea drinkers are calling upon companies, even ones that "mass-produce" tea, to include better qualities of tea in their regular bags.

Keep enjoying your tea!

I had a grapefruit 50% sugar no sinkers, green tea today. It was yellow-orange in color and since it was a green tea, it was much healthier. It has a citrus flavor to it and it really was delicious.

An unexciting blended decaff tea is what I often have. Twinings does a nice decaff English breakfast, but I haven't found it locally. I should probably drink more fruity and herbal teas, but I don't like most of them.

Hello Chel!

I have found the Bubble Tea we've been looking for. The store I bought the tea from is called "Bubbatealicious".

Actually, in my country Bubble Tea is somehow called ROYAL TEA. I bought a large cup and after taking my first sip, I have almost finished it to half. I was so thirsty, that's why!

It was a sweet blend of spices and sugar. Expect future purchase for the Bubble or should I say Royal Tea.

"Start the day with a smile and finish it with a cup of TEA..."

Today, I'm trying out a new tea house. Its name is Prosperitea --Milk Tea Creations. I picked one of their bestsellers, Lemon fruit tea. It has a very sharp taste which I somehow liked and disliked. I find that my tastebuds are being electrified with flavor.

The store has a welcoming quality to it and with its large windows, I feel very comfortable seating on one of their couches. The decor is creative. They have hanging lights in cages and they have a very beautiful walls with trees painted on them.

All in all, I'm sure that I'll be going to visit this place again.

Today I had a Chocolate Mousse Milk Tea. It quenched my thirst and I love the sweetness of the beverage. This would be my temporary last tea I would be drinking for now because I find that drinking tea almost every day makes my wallet depleted.

Although this would not be the last time you hear from me, I'll be in the edge if anyone needs me.

Ciao for now! ໒( ♥ ◡ ♥ )७

It's always a good time for tea. I'm enjoying a cup of tepid "Thin Mint" - excellent.

My daughter gave it to me for Christmas.

Bigelow: caramel & coconut / thin mint

I do not know if there were other flavors or not. She got it in her supermarket.

Let me know what you find out. I checked the Bigelow page but didn't see it listed. I should have contacted them about ordering on line.

Hello Mary! If I had found your thread much earlier this year, I would have posted there instead of creating a new one. Oops?

Okay... Since I think my resistance from buying tea is failing because today I had a Vanilla Milk Tea with no sinkers and with 50% sugar level. I've had this drink before from the same store and the taste got better.

If anyone can find it there near them, try it! ヘ( ̄ω ̄ヘ)

I've not heard of Vanilla Milk tea. What does it mean when you say, "no sinkers?" Is this tea a mix?

Hello, Angie! No sinkers mean there's no pearl or tea bits in it. It's sort of natural and artificial kind of tea. I'm not really sure of what is really in for sure. ヾ(´▽`;)ゝ

Dear Styxx,

Where are you purchasing vanilla milk tea is it a chain? or mom & pop?

I'd love to have some. I like the reduction in sugar, that's good!

Enjoy!

Dear Angie,

I think Styxx explained that correctly. Bubble tea or now the bubble tea less the tapioca or fruit in it! It helps if people do not like or cannot consume tapioca for what ever reason.

It is a tea drink that is Asian in it's roots (Taiwan) but is slowly catching on here in America with little juice/tea houses carrying it.

Hi Mary,

I'm not actually drinking tea bag tea right now, but I guess you can call it a tea. I filled my 24 oz water jug with 1 sliced lemon and 2 baby cucumbers (sliced) along with a packet of splenda as the lemons emit more tang as they sit! lol. It's so refreshing and I find I drink more water this way - I'm on a diet so water is key!

Dear Ally,

That sounds scrumpous! Yes even tea editors don't only just drink tea! I encourage the drinking of water as well, your sounds very healthful and hydrating! Sounds like a great summer drink.

Thank you for visiting and of course if you have any tea questions at all let me know!

Thanks! Enjoy your Easter!

Dear Readers,

On a "dog day" like this when temps. reach over the high 90's I hope you'll make yourself some iced tea.

It is hydrating and refreshing!
