What was a recent one you remember? I had one last night that David Letterman was doing a show from my home and was running out of ideas, and was depressed about it. I was trying to help him out but anything I suggested, he didn't like. Very strange, since I never watch his show!

Hello all - I'm a brand-new poster here. I'm liking this board a lot.

I remember my dreams b/c I think I have made it a point to remember them. I think whatever we make place uppermost in our minds "sticks".

I currently keep a dream journal, (I have for the past 5 years now) and whenever I get a "keeper" that I believe has a message for me, or get some other lingering symbol - I write them down as time allows.

I have 1 notebook almost filled now, and when I look back at those entries - I am sometimes amazed at what's transpired in real life that validates my dreams.

Remembering dreams is not hard:

1. Be very open to your dream: Be open to ANY information of gaining new information for your benefit. Past or present.

2. Ask yourself to remember your dreams before you go to bed:

My current method is: to bring a "virtual" camera into the dreamstate -and take snapshots at when it makes sense to record imagery.

I then wake the next morning with fleeting imagery that shocks me into remembering my dreams. I also might get a random "image" during the day that triggers my dream.

Anyway, I am a visual person - this technique may only work for a those like myself.

An analytical person may have an entirely different approach to achieve these same means. We are all different and I'd love to read about what others do to remember their dreams...

Anyway, I'd love to hear open suggestions from anyone on these boards...

Dreaming is an incredibly personal experience.

I'd love to hear yours...

In high school i did my senior paper on dreams, it was soo cool (got an A yayy). one kind of dream i really dont like is the kind that you are doing something soo wonderful and it feels so great, and them bam you are awake, left wondering for 30 fuzzy seconds or so..was that real? then the reality hits that it wasnt.(you dont have a million $$ or that hug from someone passed on) jeez those are awful. I had a night terror recently where there was someone in my house, and i lay there listening once i woke up, but that fear stayed with me for about 15-20 minutes and i was nervous to get up and investigate. they can be so real, so vivid, so scary at times. Others can just be so plain bizarre, it's pretty neat. i love dreams

I remember some of my dreams like last night, I dreamed that my teacher announced to the classroom that we were going to watch InuYasha all day! But I woke up a few minutes later. <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Darn I really wanted to watch it in my sleep.

Many of my friends remember their dreams. More often I say " I don't dream". I've only had a few dreams in my lifetime that I can remember. They were vivid and true to life. In one some friends and I were bungi jumping off a bridge. That summer a classmate jumped off that same bridge and drowned.
I've tried logging my dreams, when I could remember. I may consume too much caffein and sugar these days. ..Maybe more herbal teas and a little sachet of mugwort might help.
