I hate to see a section like this so dormant! I'm not a US citizen, but as a foreigner I nevertheless have an interest in who gets to be President next year. Donald Trump might or might not be good for the USA, but he would certainly be good for the rest of the world. Everybody else in the race - except Bernie Sanders - belongs to the military-industrial complex's War Party, keen to bomb as many civilians in the Middle East as they can - and to shoot them, too, if that could be done without risking US lives.

So. Go Donald! Mind you, I don't think he would ever be elected, because he would be taken out by some sponsored "Lone Assassin", like JFK was. But he's the only hope for the outside world, I'm afraid.

I was about to agree until I realised you weren't talking about Donald Duck, but rather Donald Trump. Thanks for an entertaining read! smile

All I can do is shake my head and sigh. This has been the strangest election cycle I have ever experienced.

GETTING RID OF THE DT'S

A bigot with a mouth like a spigot,

Making utterances befitting a fascist,

All his thoughts I just trash it much more than fastish.

Trump does have a big mouth, that's for sure; and he may indeed be a bigot. But the question is, is he as likely as his rivals to engage in the mass murder of defenceless little brown people in the Middle East? All the rivals - except maybe Bernie - are proud imperialists, and as such quite prepared to kill all who oppose the expansion of the Empire into their homelands.

I once saw (online) a Bumper Sticker that said - in block caps - WHY CAN'T EXXON SEND ITS OWN DAMN TROOPS? Not that I think they should: that would be just as immoral as outside governments sending troops. But at least Exxon troops who engaged in mass slaughter would not be compromising the principles that most Americans say they aspire to. If I were an American, I would be mortified by the war-crimes committed in my name. I wouldn't find it entertaining, at all!

A POLITICAL FUROR

I’ll banish each and every illegal!

I’ll for our enemies make all forms of torture legal!

I’ll dictate who we shall hate!

I’ll once again make America great!

I’ll lead you true believers as you lock-step march single file!

I’ll be “TERRIFIC” as you are all inclined to shout sieg heil!

Bush and Obama made torture routine, and slaughtered hundreds of thousands of civilians without the slightest remorse. Obama was even cynical enough to wangle a Nobel Peace Prize on the basis of his promises to respect human rights. Trump could hardly do worse than those monsters. The bar has been set pretty low, by the West's political representatives.
