Here's an interesting factoid about the word Pumpernickel.
Pumpern in German means to break wind and nickel means demon so...pumpernickel is farting demon. I guess Pumpernickel probably sells better than farting demon bread. lol

This is so funny! I love pumpernickel bagels. I used to buy the heck out of them when I recently lived in NY. I can't find them in Cali....maybe I shouldn't...but they are so good toasted!
