To all or none, Taken from a site called The big view.com Today we shall weite about the SECOND NOBLE TRUTH. 'RIGHT INTENTION While right view refers to the cognitive aspect of WISDOM,Right Intention refers to the volitional aspect,i.e. the kind of mental energy that controls our actions.Right Intention can be described best as COMMITMENT to ethical and mental self-improvement .BUDDHA distinguishes three types of right Intention 1-The intention of renonciation which means resistance to the pull of desire 2-the intention of good will, meaning resistance to feelings of ANGER(this one is for me loong)and aversion 3-The intention of harmlessness meaning not to think or act cruelly, violently or aggressively, and to develop COMPASSION Loong' s comment: I had so much difficulty findiding and The Anger understanding what VOLIATION is,man,Also the anger part.Did I have problems with that.It is mostly gone for NOW

To all or noe,
Today we shall look at THE THIRD NOBLE TRUTH ,taken from The big view.
RIGHT SPEECH
Right speech is the first principal of ethical conduct in the eightfold Path.Ethical conduct is iewed as a deline to moral discipline which supports the other principles of the path. This aspect is not self-sufficient ,however ,essential .because mental purification can only be achived through the cultivation of ethical conduct. The importance of speech in the context of buddhist ethics is obvious:words can break and save lives, make ennemies or friends, start war or create peace.Buddha explained right speech as follows:to abstain from false speech, especially not to tell deliberate lies and not to speak deceitfully, 2-To abstain from slanderous speech and not to use words maliciously against others. 3-To abstain from harsh words that offend or hurt others, 4-To abstain from Idle chatter that lacks purpose or depth.Positively phrased this means to tell the TRUTH,TO SPEAK FRIENDLY,WARM,AND GENTLY AND TO TALK OMLY WHEN NECESSARY.In the next post we shall look at RIGHT ACTION.

TO ALL OR NONE,
FROM THE BOOK BY E FINN BOUDDHISME QUESTIONS ET REPONSES
" From what source do monks live by?
Members of the Sangha wether Bhikkhus or Bhikkhunies,f one addresse one, he must call him banthe.A Bhikkhu IS NOT ALLOWED TO EARN HIS LIVING.He has to go every morning from door to door to collect food from the population .This is called Alms. One must understand that tey say they are not begging they are doing this so that the Community may earn Merits.!!!!!!
Loong's comment:I had a friend that was a bhikkhu in I do not remember the countrythat after 2 years disrobed, being mmad seeing the monks getting in the alms the best that the poor people were giving them. When he disrobed he told them that they were hiding behind a part of the Sangha definition ,that they were lazy, and should be ashamed of begging when they could at least work the fields.I am in total agreement with him.20 miles from here, there is a big sangha where everyone work the fields to sustain themselves instead of begging.
I have been asked not to give my comments on certain subject. This is what I beleive in .
loong not begging for food ,worked my body so hard for 47 years that it is tearing apart by itself.

To all or none
text taken from The Big View.Com
today we will look at the 4 th Eightfold Path.
RIGHT ACTION
The second ethical principal ,rightaction, involves the body as natural expression .as it refers to deed that involve bodily actions. Unwholesome actions lead to unsound states of mind, while wholesome actios lead to sound states of Mind.Again ,the principle is explained in terms of abstinence:Right Action means 1-to abstain from harming sentient beings, especially to abstain from taking life (including suicide)and doing harm intentionally or deliquantly. 2-To abstain from taking what is not given ,which includes stealing, robbery, fraud, deceitfulness, and dishonesty, and . 3-To abstain from sexual misconduct. Positively formulated ,Right Action, means to act kindly and compassionately,to be honest,to respect the belonginngs of others, and to keep sexual relationships harmless to others.Further details regarding the concrete meaning of Right Action can be found in the PRECEPTS."
This concludes Right Action. Our next eightfold path shall be Right Livelihood.

To all or none, Text taken from "Bouddhisme questions et reponses"by E,Finn
"What is Buddha-Nature?
It is a Mahayanist concept that was always denied by TheravadeansIt concists of presuming that everything in the Universe including a rock has the potential of becoming a Buddha up to humans. This potentiality ids called BUDDHA_NATURE.With this way of thinking it is much easier for a Mahayana disciple to be in the nature of the Bodhisattva, whiose choise has brought him to try to help everyone in need and realise it,s True Buddha Nature."

loong Hmmm...I think this is kind of missing the point of talking about Buddha nature. Although in teachings the idea of potential is often talked about in relation to Buddha-nature, it is not the main point. Whether or not a rock can attain enlightnement is not the main point. Buddha nature is a way of talking about the emptiness/luminosity/source energy/primordial awarereness at the essence of all. In many teachings, it is used very much the same way that you use the word 'oneness' or 'universe'. In most cases, if you take one of your sentences, and substitute 'Buddha-nature' wherever you would usually say 'oneness' or 'universe' you will get a better understanding of Buddha-nature than from this passage. It is not that the passage is wrong, but I think that by focusing on the 'potential' side of it, it is not really portraying the whole meaning of Buddha-nature. It is definitely something that needs to be understood in the context of teachings from within one's practice.

To all or none,
Taken from The Big View.com, Today we shall see RIGHT LIVELYHOOD
Right Livelyhood means that one should earn his living in righteous way and that wealth should be gained legally and peacefully. The Buddha mentions four specific activities that one should avoid. for this reason.
1-Dealing in weapons 2-dealing in living beings(including)raising animals for slaughter as well as slave trade and prostitution. 3- Working in meat production and butchery,"my father was aa butcher, and I know he is in the 5th heaven as I write this 4- Selling intoxicants and poisons ,such as alcohol and drugs.Furthermore ant other occuoation that would violate the principles of Right Speach and Right Action should be avoided.
The nExt post will be on RIGHT MINDFULNESS.

Text taken from "bouddhisme Questions et reponses" de E.FINN.
We shall go on the subject of Buddha-Nature.Translation by your's truly. "To express the Nature of the Buddha,Mahyana and vajrayana also use the term"Tathagatagarbha," composed of Ththagata(he who has gone this wy) and of Garbha (essence). The sense of this expression brings one back to the one that realized the Ainseityof things. Said in an another way ,Their Ultimate Nature. This Ultimate Nature is the nature of the BUDDHA."

Todays Path is RIGHT EFFORT, text taken on The Big View
'Right Effort can be seen as a prerequisite for the other principles of the Path.Without effort ,which is in itself an act of will ,nothing can be achived, whereas misguided effort distracts the Mind from it's task, and confusion will be the consequence.Mental energy is the force behind behind Right Effort ;It can occur in either wholesome or unwholesome states. The same type of energy that fuels desire, envy, agression, and violence can on the other side fuel self-discipline,honesty,benevolence ,and kindness.Right Effort is detailed in four types of endeavours that rank in ascending order of perfection 1-to prevent the arising of unrisen unwholesome states' 2-to abandon unwholesome states that have already arisen. 3-to arouse wholesome states that have not yet, arisen 4-To maintain and and perfect wholesome states already arisen."
