Hey Bergarde,

You sound like you like to play your games without cheats or walkthroughs and that is grand you seem like a good honest player who actually spends time working stuff out and doesn't download a walkthrough to get you passed the level.

Thats why all the big cheat sites have walkthoughs cause in some games... cheat codes dont do anything.. its how to complete a correct sequence of events which get you to the next level..

My opinion still stands if you use some sort of guide to get you passed the level then this is cheating...

So stop cheating youself MdMa!

Mr. Bill, I have a different theory all together. If using a walkthrough is a cheat, then why is it labled as a guide. If a friend of yours guides you through a level of the game is that concidered cheating also? A walkthrough is merley a lazy persons way of knowing what to expect when he/she opens that door. Its a little different to not careing what is behind the door because you have god mode, unlimted ammo and all weapons now isn't it. With a walkthough he/she still able to die and have to get all the ammo and do everthing properly in the game.
A WALKTHROUGH IS NOT A CHEAT!

although it's more fun to end the game all by urself... cuz then you know you've succeeded with no help at all

I'm not going to repeat what i said above my point still stands as above.. Ur using a guide to get you passed the correct sequences without attempting them youself.. Stop cheating yourself!

i dont think walkthroughs are cheats personally. if you follow the walkthrough step by step theres no way the person is going to finish the game. the walkthroughs dont tell you when to train or anything. its just a way of helping you know what to do. like...the butterfly game in ffx (which im still working on grrrrrrrrr its so frustrating when you only get 6!)it doesnt tell you how to catch all of them, it takes skill and practice, the walkthrough just kind of tells you where to go and the objective of what you're supposed to do. cheats are most deffinitely game shark codes. DONT EVER USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! theyre absolutely horrid and they give you no feeling of satisfaction when you beat the game w/ them...*sniffle* <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> i used them on the last boss in ff8. i got all the way to ultimacia w/o using them, and ohhhhhhhh it was just so horrible. so i stand as before stated: walkthroughs are not cheats, a cheat is when you actually get sumthing PUT into the game so you dont have to do it.

Globalz, I use a walkthrough very sparringly, only when im not sure what I am supposed to do next or where then next point is. Take Splintercell for example. You have to be very quick to see the finger prints on the key pad with the thermal goggles. The walkthrough stated what the code was for the key pad (not that I used the walkthrough for that), which in my opinion is still not cheating. So insted of having to be very quick to read the keypad its there for you. Get it through your head that a 'cheat' is a God Mode, Or Unlimited something. Cheating is not, " go through this door then turn left." That is simply a helping guide.
