Debbie, the cards at the Dollar Store were beautiful too with a true Christmas message - not holiday message - what a buy...
My gift tags have unusual shapes but they work well and are pretty large. I either tape the card to the box or hole punch and use a piece of ribbon to attach it to the bow. I enjoy making them.
>>> buying boxes of 14 or 16 Christmas cards for only $1 each at the dollar store<<<

Today was a zero spending day. YAY! I have been making a bunch of purchases lately, due to being in a new home, but today was just spent cleaning and organizing.
Most of my shopping has been at Goodwill, the Dollar Store, Walmart and Craigslist. I don't feel great about shopping at walmart, but have been at least thoughtful and frugal about it.

So, it's St Pattys Day. Going to spend money on some green beer? :p
I totally would, except the only bar in walkable distance is closed on Mondays, and I am carless today.

Today we went to some furniture resale shops and got a bistro set ($120) to eat on in the kitchen, and a movable screen ($39) to divide the kitchen from the living room. Also a desk chair for me for five dollars. Oh, and I grabbed a pair of house slippers from goodwill for $1.50. Very comfy.
Two days ago I got a livingroom chair for me from Goodwill for ten dollars.
Still need a couple more items of used furniture, and then we will be set.

Today I spent nothing. But...I as well shop at Goodwill as well as donate. The only things I'll actually spend money on are those that bring usefulness and/or peace which, lol, for me happens to be the kitchen! If you know what you're looking for, you can find appliances from dehydrators, food savers and mini-food processors for even $3.00

Too true, Karen! There's almost no excuse to buy new appliances. I prefer to keep usable things in the use cycle, instead of in the waste stream. We can all help do better in this.
Nancy, good deals at your pharmacy!
Yesterday we picked up a few things at the dollar store for the kitchen and laundry room, and I found some useful things for my office at goodwill.
The day before I found an entire bed for $50 on Craigslist. Metal frame, box spring, two mattresses and full bedding. I have a very nice nest now.
It all smelled a little like smoke, but i aired it all out, washed the bedding, and sprayed the heck out of my dollar store Fabrese on it all.
There were nicer bed sets for $200-$225, but i couldn't see spending that. i already had a nice memory foam pad to top it all off with anyway. ;
