Are you a wallet minimalist, or a George Constanza overloader?
Do you carry around a zillion credit cards, id cards, loyalty cards and passes? Do you carry cash? Are there photos in your wallet (besides the one on your driver's license)?
I'll start. I keep a five and a ten stashed in a 'secret' compartment of my wallet for emergencies only. Otherwise I use my debit card. I also keep a few checks stashed away, so i don't have to carry the entire checking book.
Cards: one debit card, a health care card, my parks pass, several loyalty cards (drugstores, grocery stores, gas stations), and my driver's license. Oh, and my AAA card.
Sometimes I have coupons or receipts in there, or a few business cards that i've picked up.
I try to be ruthless about the loyalty cards and only carry the ones I actively use. I keep the "sometimes use" ones at home in my desk.
Sometimes I end up missing out on a deal that way (example - I didn't have my Flying J gas loyalty card on a recent trip, which would have saved me two cents a gallon).
What I don't have is photos or sentimental ephemera. Do you?
