We often talk about investing but it can be hard to find the money to invest. So let's have a little fun.

Image you had money. What would you do with it?

Invest it? On what?
Spend it? On what?
Donate it? On what?

This is for fun so think big and bold. Or small and comfortable. Whatever you want.

So, what would you do if you had money?

Buy a house and rent rooms out to students for at least 10 years, then sell it and decide what to do then.

What a great idea! I'm sure there are lots of college students who would be very grateful for a room to rent.

I would move out!

If I had lots of money I would separate it in four. One part would be invested, one part would be donated (most would be for animals and environment), one part would be to buil my dream place and the other part would be to travel and have fun.

I think you have a lot of good ideas for using money. You take a nice, balanced approach to investing and enjoying your money. I, too, would support animal charities.

I know you want to move out badly. Keep at it and don't get discouraged. You will accomplish it.

What about travel? Is anyone interested in spending their money experiencing new places?

I would love to travel - both in and out of the states!

But first I would want to make sure my oldest son (the one with Asperger's) was set up with someplace of his own.

Planning financially for your son is a truly important endeavor. After all, the best use of money is for taking care of our loved ones.

This is a good question!

For me it's half and half. I would love to have nice things and also nice experiences.

With the portion I would keep for fun I would mostly travel (not by plane unless i have so much money i can use private jets). I would also probably spend at least an entire Hockey season in Dallas with season tickets. Another thing I would love to do is to try every thrill rides. Then I would just see the world, I am especially attracted to historic sites.

For my dream place I would love a private island or a very big land. I would grow my own food, have chickens and cows and grow their own food. I would adopt the chickens and cows and also adopt other animals. My energy would come from green energies. I would have the internet and a satellite but I would rarely go back to society (if at all). That would be my paradise, live in nature with animals and not see any other human beings except for on the television and internet.
