I don't know?
I've just been thinking a lot lately.
I'm not saying animals have healing "Powers." They just seem to sense things.
I have a cat, and it's weird but I'll moan in my sleep. It's a sciatic or back, one of the two. She's usually on one or the other kneading, like we would a massage or if it's a pain in the stomach area, she puts herself over it like a rainbow and does a really deep purr.
I feel they can utilize their scents in regards to disease and are especially sensitive to telepathy and emotions.
What I can't understand is why there isn't more (it's so simply done) research done on things, such as well, scent and sense is everything in their world.
