I have skiied in the Lake Tahoe area. It was my one and only experience skiing and I discovered that I do not like it. Not only did I not enjoy slipping downhill fast, I did not like doing it while being freezing cold! Haha!
The air is so pure and clean, though, and I loved that. My friends and I were total ski and snow newbies and put ourselves in a dangerous situation. We got lost in the night and the snow drifts were so high, it was like driving in a labyrinth. Just as we pulled over because we didn't want to waste gas, a car drove past us and waved for us to follow. This person took us right to where we needed to go.
They say that there are some good Samaritans who drive around helping lost strangers, but that person saved our lives that night. Was it truly just a good Samaritan or an angel? We aren't sure. How could this person, without a word exchanged, know exactly where our condo was in a sea of condos?
When we turned to thank him, his car was gone.
