Does anybody know the best way to post a free ebook on a facebook page so only people who like your page or your posts can see it?

Is there an app for this, a special trick through messaging, or other way? I can't seem to figure this out. I've looked in help in apps on youtube on google and no luck finding what I need.

The freebie is in pdf format and I do have a link for it. If anybody knows how to do this please let me know.

Sharing a private link on youtube with subscribers is so easy compared to fb. What is up with that!

I think it is against FB rules to give something away by requiring users to complete an action. I was just reading up on sweepstakes, giveaways, contests and it is murky water.

There's actually an app for it called My Tab. Lots of companies use them. They're called reveal tabs that show one thing to non likes and the freebie for those who do or have liked.

It's the most amazing app and it's easy to install but not so easy to use. I'm actually working out some glitches on it right now but it's pretty much doing what it's supposed to do.

You like my page, you get access to my ebook. Simple and there are TONS of articles written by social media experts about how effective this strategy is for getting more likes and more interaction on your fb page.

I read a number of articles last week and have many more in the queue to make sure I have a better understanding of contests, giveaways and sweepstakes. Facebook makes you post a disclaimer that they are not responsible if you are breaking any laws.

Good article. I think rule 4 spells it our very clearly for those doing giveaways. My ebook isn't really a giveaway it's an incentive for liking my page and was only sent to my newsletter subscribers. Same as an incentive I give to newsletter subscribers.

"Rule 4: You must not condition registration or entry upon the user taking any action using any Facebook features or functionality other than liking a Page, checking in to a Place, or connecting to your app. For example, you must not condition registration or entry upon the user liking a Wall post, or commenting or uploading a photo on a Wall.

You can have someone �like� your page or check in to a location to enter your promotion, but that�s it. You can�t force them to like a wall post, post a newsfeed, invite friends, update their status, etc...."

I'm debating whether to make my fan gate permanent or not. For now it's working to get me more likes. We'll see what happens in the next week.

Thanks! I'll be checking it out. I wanted to do a giveaway to get likes but read some articles that dissuaded me from doing it so I am proceeding with caution.

Great info ladies! I'm going to check this out to get more likes on my Etniq Minerals page. I too was nervous about doing a giveaway for fear of breaking a rule. I'm excited now !

My Tab is actually a pretty awesome app. I sent my newsletter out on Fri. inviting about 1000 newsletter subscribers (small segment of a larger list) to like new fb or subscribe to new youtube channel and have gone from 6 to 42 likes and 3 to 30 subscribers in under 2 days - today is not over yet : )

I'm giving away the ebook through Aug. 15th so sending out another newsletter to larger segment of my list this week. A little scared of getting slammed with emails which is why I'm releasing this to small segments of my list at a time.

People who just stop by my fb or youtube don't really have any idea about this yet. I'm just working my newsletter list at this point.
