What you think of food gifts? Do you like them or dislike them?
Not everyone is into food but to me they are great gifts to be enjoyed. It doesn't clutter up your home or clash with your decor. It won't end up in a garage sale or charity donation.
If they are thoughtful and personal, would you like a food gift? For example, a health food nut could be given dark chocolate-covered gogi berries or blueberries. Luxurious nutrition.

Hi Lori:
Give me cash.
Why?
While I do like to eat, I am very particular about what I eat.

Ah, that is a good point, Angela.
Cash just seems cold and unthoughtful yet I suppose it depends on one's situation. Cash is so needed by all right now.

Great question. I really don't like food gifts but I love gift cards to food stores. I also love staples like give me a basic with seasonings, foil, plastic wrap, dish clothes and I'm in heaven...those things aren't cheap!

I dont care to get food gifts, unless the person put some resl thiught into it, like getting me gourmet coff or something. I do give food gifts to,older people on my list though. My parents have everything they need but love to get gourmet nuts or other things like that.

I like food gifts if the giver has been thoughtful enough to give something they know I like. I don't have food allergies so I would enjoy pretty much anything, even treats now and then. I think it is the thought that counts, and I never expect gifts from anyone so it is always a nice surprise to receive something. I never judge a gift when someone is being kind.

This is an interesting question. I often prefer a food gift than to some kind of doo dad that will clutter up my already huge stash of clutter. Yet I am always aquisitive, so it's hard for me to NOT want doo dads.
Food gifts seem like a good compromise.

Another thing is that homemade food gifts tend to be really frugal for the giver. It would be awfully harsh to turn up one's nose at something that is thoughtful instead of spendy. If someone doesn't have a lot of cash to throw around, any gift is sort of a blessing.
