I think before the fur starts a flyin' around here I am going to take cover in the cabin. Maybe I will start up a nice big pot of chile and bake some jalapeno corn bread. All this action is bound to bring on some healthy appetites. I know Granpappy will appreciate the hot vittles.

I think Granpappy will like my cornbread. I am going to put nice whole corn kernels in it too.....chunky and spicy.....it will go well with the chile.
Now that I think of it, I haven't seen Granpappy or Beetle around in a while. That can't be good....

We must keep on our toes and not get too relaxed -- I saw Beetle a minute ago and Granpappy is taking stealthy steps down from the woods. He has a box of stuff from his shed up the hill.
